“I think people can compare and make comparisons about a bunch of different, really cool factions from the past but the Undisputed Era is fresh. It’s new. It’s us.”
Last time Adam Cole graced Donington Park with his presence, he was carrying the NXT North American Championship. 12 months on, he’s back at Download Festival with gold around his waist but this time it’s the NXT Championship.
Having defeated Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver: XXV, Cole completed the first goal that himself and the Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong) set out to do in 2019; dominate NXT by taking all the gold.
With that task completed, Sêan Reid spoke with Adam Cole at Download Festival to discuss the pressure of being champion, where the Undisputed Era ranks amongst some of wrestling’s greatest groups, taking air guitar tips from Kyle O’Reilly and how he’s benefitted from training at the WWE Performance Center.
