Due to the increasing interest in Already Heard, we are currently looking to add two or more individuals to our News team.
The role requires the following:
- Producing detailed and accurate news post within a reasonable time of information being released.
- Have an understanding of the music, genres and bands Already Heard covers on a daily basis.
- Researching and outsourcing relevant news for the site.
- Knowledge of using the Tumblr blogging platform.
- Knowledge of HTML coding.
- Copy editing information from press releases and other sources such as similar music websites and social networking sites.
- Knowledge of editing, re-sizing and uploading images to use with news posts.
- Pushing news stories through Facebook and Twitter as well as interacting with our audience through social media.
The role is unpaid and would require tasks to be sporadically done from Monday to Friday. In addition the role(s) will also have the opportunity to contribute to other areas of Already Heard such as interviews, reviews and features.
