Derby sextet Violet have decided to split up.
The news follows last weeks news that the band had parted ways with vocalist Jordan Samuel.
The band made the following statement:
“Unfortunately, due to a ton of reasons, most of them out of our hands, we have decided to call it a day as Violet, at least for the foreseeable future. This isn’t a decision we having taken lightly and we cannot thank all of you enough for the love and support you’ve shown us over the years, you’ve allowed us to have an incredible time and achieve things we didn’t initially believe we could. There’s a good chance some of us will continue to write music together, it’s not completely over yet, so keep an eye out.
That being said, tonight could potentially be our last hometown show so come down and let’s make it a good one! Come get some cheap merch.

Violet’s debut full-length, ‘The Love/The Lust’ was released this past September through Small Town Records.
