This week Press To MECO head out on the ‘Scuzz Presents ‘UK Throwdown’ Tour’ with Max Raptor and Allusondrugs. With the triple rotating bill of bands hitting up all corners of the United Kingdom, there is no excuse for you to catch three of the UK’s most promising alternative acts right now.

For Press To MECO, it is the perfect opportunity to showcase last years brilliant ‘Good Intent’ LP. With their three way harmonies defining their sound alongside technical and melodic riffs, Press To MECO have a lot to offer.

As they kick off the tour, we asked the trio to tell us what they will be playing on van stereo in the coming weeks. Read on and listen to 10 bands that will be serving as the soundtrack to Press To MECO’s UK tour.

Everything Everything – Get to Heaven
Lewis: This tune is a sure bet to put everyone in a good mood. Just what you need when you’ve been in traffic for 8 hours.

Manchester Orchestra – The Only One
Lewis: Sick song to drive to. You might as well listen to the whole album while you’re there.

Tigers Jaw – Cool
Lewis: Great band for those melancholic moods when the adrenaline has worn off after a show.

Protest The Hero – Plato’s Tripartite
Adam: I love the energy and emotion in this song, I feel like I always want to hear more of it and can’t turn it off! Best of all is the outro with the layers of vocals singing different lines along with the acoustic guitar. The lyrics are deep and dark and contain a lot of meaning.

Coheed & Cambria – Eraser
Adam: This is a great song from their brand new album ‘The Colour Before The Sun’. I feel it could sit comfortably on any of Coheed’s previous albums, but it also has something fresh and original about it.

Propagandhi – Human(e) Meat
Adam: A flawless song one by of my all time favourite bands. The album ’Supporting Caste’, will be playing over and over again in our van whilst we are on tour, amazing sound, great lyrics and an awesome voice.

The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza – I Am Sammy Jankis
Luke: The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza are/were one of the best “underrated” metal bands of recent time. Such innovation from a guitar perspective coupled with a face meltingly brutal sound.

AC/DC – ANYTHING BY AC/DC
Luke: NOTHING beats the feeling of leaving a show on a high and putting on ‘For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)’ to keep you pumped on your drive from Aberdeen to Glasgow because you only know someone to sleep on their floor in Glasgow…AC/DC!

PUP – Dark Days
Luke: Similar to AC/DC, what’s better than listening to a song about the ups and downs of tour life whilst curled up in a van on tour.

Pharoahe Monch – Trilogy
Luke: Pharoahe is (in my opinion) one of THE greatest MC’s to grace the mic. Incredibly intelligent lyrics and amazing musicianship on all his tracks. One of the best flows about too!
