Lonely The Brave have signed a worldwide deal with Columbia Records. However as a result of the deal, the bands debut album, ‘The Day’s War’ has been pushed back to September 1st.

The album will still be released in the UK through Hassle Records.

The bands album release show at the London Dingwalls has also been changed, and will now take place on September 4th.

The band have posted a statement announcing the deal with Columbia and the album delay.

“We have some really exciting news, which means we will be able to get our music out around the world. We have signed an international record deal with Columbia Records (home of Bruce Springsteen, Kasabian, Bob Dylan, The Vaccines, ManicStreetPreachers and many, many more great artists). We feel honoured to be working with such a prestigious label with an amazing history. The album will still be coming out on Hassle Records in the UK.

The only downside to this is we have to delay the release of our album, ‘The Day’s War’, until September 1st this year. The reason is that we are relatively unknown in countries other than the UK at the moment, and Columbia need more time to get our name out there. We know some of you will be disappointed by this, but signing to Sony is a huge, huge step for us, and we hope you’ll support the decision.

For those of you that have pre-ordered our record (thank you!), we will 100% be making sure that the album gets to you on this new revised release date. If, however, you do not want to wait that long, you are able to claim a full refund. If you have pre-ordered via our official webstore you will receive an email from us with further details of the delayed release and how to claim your refund. If you have pre-ordered via any other retailer, please contact them directly if you wish to receive a refund.

Due to the album release moving we unfortunately have to delay the London Dingwalls album release show until September 4th. All tickets already purchased will be valid for the new re-arranged show, or alternatively a refund will be available. If you have ordered tickets via our official webstore you will receive an email from us with further details, and if you have purchased elsewhere please contact the seller directly if you wish to receive a refund. Our York warm-up show has also been moved to September 3rd. Similarly, if you’ve bought tickets for the original date, refunds will be available at point of purchase, or they will still be valid for this new date.

We are planning a small intimate show in London at some point in the next few months, before the Dingwalls show. If this happens, those that have already bought tickets for Dingwalls will be offered tickets to the show free of charge, on a first come, first served basis.

Thank you for your patience and support,

Lonely The Brave x”
