Hailing from Richmond, Virginia pop punk band Hold Tight produced one of the more under appreciated albums of 2012 in ‘Blizzard Of ’96.’ It’s a record filled with anthemic numbers delivered with a punk rock edge.

James: I’d re-live our very first two week tour because after we played some crazy house show in Minnesota, Alex (our drummer) peed on me and I’d love to go back in time and stop that from happening.

James: Any venue with people excited to see us, or some gigantic stadium to see what that’s like.

James: Green Day. I wanna hang with BJ.

James: I wish I could say I’d be doing something else creative but when I’m not playing music I’m working at a crummy job.

James: Something heavy. Hardcore, or metal, or grunge, or hardcoregrungemetal.

James: ‘Basket Case.’ Perfect song, plus it would be nice to be a game changer.

James: I guess it seems like I should say ‘Dookie’ after that last question, but just to go with something that was even more of a game changer I’m gonna say ‘Nevermind.’
If I could headline any festival, it would be…
James: That’s a tough one, Fest would be fun cuz it’s all punx there, but it might be fun to headline some insanely huge European fest like Reading or something just for the ridiculousness.
If I could organise my own festival, the bands playing would be…
James: I hope Alex is doing this interview also so that he can be a smart ass and say “well it just so happens I did organize my own festival…” If I had my own festival it would just be a three band show, Blink 182, Weezer, and Green Day would all play set lists of the classics and everyone would get a ton of free food and then go home before they got too worn out.

James: Drums. I dabble but I want to destroy.
If I could give one piece of advice to a new band, it would be…
James: Put your music out for free when you’re first getting started. It’s gonna end up out there for free anyway so you might as well do it on your own terms and get it to as many ears as possible. Also wear ear plugs.
