Holding Absence Release New Single – ‘A Crooked Melody’

Holding Absence 2023

Welsh quartet Holding Absence have returned with a new single – ‘A Crooked Melody’.

The track is another enthralling offering from the four-piece, blending their distinctive, soaring catchiness with poignant lyricism.

It’s the first slice of new material since last year’s ‘The Lost & The Longing’ split EP with Alpha Wolf.

What is ‘A Crooked Melody’ about?

Commenting on the track, Holding Absence vocalist Lucas Woodland said “A Crooked Melody is simply a song about denial. It’s the lie we tell ourselves every night to help us sleep, but deep down, we know the truth. However, the big difference between a crooked melody and a lie is that it’s sweet, enchanting and easier to swallow.”
