Hevy Festival to Change Location

It has been announced this year’s Hevy Festival will not take place at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent after festival organizers failed to agree on a deal with Port Lympne.

A new location is yet to be announced.

Festival director James Dutton made the following comment:

“Hevy is definitely still going ahead. We are still going to be in Kent, on the same dates in August. I have spent the last six months looking at new venues, and we have one lined up, but we are still sorting contracts so I can’t reveal it yet. I can say it is closer to London. I feel sad as I have really enjoyed being at Port Lympne for the past few years, but we needed more space. All tickets which have already been bought will of course be valid at the new venue.”

The news follows todays earlier announcement which saw 15 new bands added to the festival including headliners Killswitch EngageEyehategodRaeinColiseum and Earthtone9.

Hevy Fest 2013 takes place on 2nd – 4th August. Visit hevy.co.uk for more information.
