After a six-year hiatus Spineshank are back and with their new album ‘Anger Denial Acceptance,’ it’s clear the Los Angeles metallers haven’t changed a bit. With ferocious vocals, and pummeling drums, the bands third album is their most aggressive and darkest to date.

Guitarist Mike Sarkisyan recently stepped up to the challenge and took part in our regular “If I…” questionnaire. Sarkisyan told us which legendary bands would play his fantasy festival, as well as telling what he would be doing if he wasn’t in a band.

If I could re-record one song it would be…
Mike: Our entire first album “Strictly Diesel.” I think we could make it a million times better.

If I could re-live one tour/show it would be…
Mike: Ozzfest 2011, hands down the most fun I’ve ever had on tour.

If I had the chance to play one venue it would be…
Mike: The Rose Bowl, I grew up a few blocks away from it.

If I could play with one band it would be…
Mike: Guns n Roses.

If I could play with any person living or dead it would be…
Mike: Randy Rhoads or Beethoven.

If I could bring back any band that have split up, it would be…
Mike: Guns n Roses

If I wasn’t playing music, I would be…
Mike: Either a lawyer or a criminal, or maybe a criminal lawyer.

If I could play a different genre it would be…
Mike: Teen Pop!

If I could have written any song it would be…
Mike: ’Stairway To Heaven’ imagine the royalties.

If I could have written any album it would be…
Mike: ’Appetite for Destruction’ or ‘Physical Graffiti’.

If I could headline any festival, it would be…
Mike: Download or Mayhem.

If I could organise my own festival, the bands playing would be…
Mike: Led Zeppelin, Guns n Roses, Motley Crue, Slipknot, Metallica, Skid Row, Scorpions, Refused, Atari Teenage Riot, Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters, Deftones…shit this is a hard one

If I could play any other instrument, it would be…
Mike: I play a few but one I wish I was really proficient at would be drums.

If I could give one piece of advice to a new band, it would be…
Mike: Quit while you’re ahead!
