With influences ranging from Oasis, Green Day and Irish folk music, Patrick Craig’s album ‘True Story’ turns out to be a thoroughly honest and reflective collection that reminds us of Frank Turner and The Front Bottoms.
However the album isn’t released until April 29th but we have the exclusive first play of the title track. Accompanied by a collection of home video footage, ‘True Story’ displays Craig’s well-seasoned yet relatable lyrical wit.
Patrick had this to say about the album:
“There’s a lot of reference to water, and that could be symbolic of cleansing, like baptismal fonts, but I think it might be more that I really like swimming and thats just seeped into my subconscious. The main thing I wanted this album to be, is true. There are elements that are heightened and exaggerated using artistic licence, but all of the emotions and sentiment is all based of true experience.”
‘True Story’ by Patrick Craig is released on 29th April on Under The Bridge Records (pre-order).
