After starting the year with a successful headline tour before joining Fightstar on their recent run of UK shows, Canterbury emo quartet Moose Blood are quickly piling up their road mileage, and with shows alongside Creeper taking place this past week and Man Overboard coming soon, they’ll be adding more.

For this edition of “Already Heard Tour Tales”, Moose Blood share their roadworthy wisdom by giving us their essential tour tips. They remind us that even though being a band out on the road can be fun, they’re still there to do a job as is everyone involved in the tour. Read on to find out more.

Pre-Production
Pre-Production day is a must! As is a final practice run through of the set so you know it like the back of your hand.

Set Lists
As easy as it should be to remember the order in which to play your own songs, it never usually is, set lists are invaluable.

Service Stations
Service stations are a blessing and a curse, coffees might cost a thousand pounds, but you can often find a cheeky bag of £1 Wine Gums hiding at the till. Think before you shop.

Be Nice
Don’t forget that all those people running around to make your show happen; buy your rider, drive you there, do your sound, do your lights and make sure you’re happy are most probably working their arse off. So remember to treat them with respect and don’t shout at them if they forget someone is a vegetarian.

Enjoy Yourself
At the end of the day there’s only one reason you are in a band and that is to enjoy yourself. Tour can certainly be tough, hard work and very stressful, but you have to remember no one is making you do it and remind yourself why you started it all in the first place; to have a laugh and do what you love with your friends.
