Emerging Dutch trio Charades label themselves as “Brand New performed by your favourite 90’s band”, which is an ideal description as their debut EP, ‘Grey Pillar Sky’ captures the band’s raw, youthful sound with a cynical lyrical approach.

Ahead of the EP’s release on May 26th, we’ve teamed up with the band’s label, White Russian Records, to premiere a new track called ‘Skin’. With hints of Brand New, Basement and Biffy Clyro, the track is a stirring slice of alt rock with Gerben Kieviet displaying impassioned vocals and sonically satisfying guitars. Joined by bassist Frank Mastenbroek and drummer Rick Kouwenberg, the three-piece are merely scratching the surface with ‘Skin’.

On the track, the band said about the track:

“’Skin’ is drained in teenage angst. It talks about the rare moments when everything falls in to place and you know exactly what to do.”

‘Grey Pillar Sky’ EP by Charades is released on 26th May on White Russian Records.
