Rising Belfast rockers A Plastic Rose have released their new video for ‘Pumping Blood’. The video is made up of fan footage and has been edited together by Bandwith Films.

Although you can view the official video below, the band are also offering fans to create their own videos. Ian McHugh (vocals/guitar) explains:

“Instead of the usual top down approach to creating a video, we wanted to democratise the process and open it up to fans to become part of the creative process. With Bandwith Films here in Belfast, we hatched the idea to put on a show at a secret location, asking the ‘APRmy’ to show up with cameras and camera phones to act as film creatives. We made a site at APRmy.com where together we uploaded all the footage, and it can be downloaded and cut with ones own footage to create a custom film edit.

True to the spirit of the song, what transpired is a raucous, debaucherous and hopefully emotional mess pushing the lines of control.

"Given a head start, it’s better to run than let the fever reach your bones.”

Over the next weeks we’ll be sharing fan edits on social media @aplasticrose #APRmy and at aplasticrose.co.uk.“

A Plastic Rose’s new album, ‘Flickering Light Of An Inner War’ is released next Monday. You can read our recent interview with the band here.
